CEDAR CITY, Utah (June 10, 2025) - Undefeated Vegas Blue cemented themselves as the first Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games 7-on-7 Football Varsity Champion in a 53-20 victory over the Cedar High Reds on June 10 in the Eccles Coliseum.
The out-of-state competitors combined for nearly 250 yards and six touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball. On defense, they raked in three interceptions, adding nine points to their total score.
Vegas Blue reigned supreme in pool play, winning by as much as 48. However, in their final pool play game of the morning, Cedar gave them a run for their money before narrowly losing the 18-15 matchup on a game-sealing interception.
Their second matchup proved less close, as Cedar couldn't keep up with Vegas Blue's pedal-to-the-metal offense and blanketing defense.

Game Recap
Starting with a methodical drive, Vegas Blue climbed their way toward the endzone piece-by-piece. Quarterback Jayveon Rose finished it off with a short pass to Madden Spielberg over the middle for six plus a two-point conversion for the lead.
Cedar's offense took the field in an attempt to even the odds, but Vegas snagged an interception for three more points. Rose capitalized on his team's momentum with a 40-yard touchdown bomb and another two-point conversion, placing his team comfortably ahead 19-0.
Desperate to put points on the board, Cedar's second drive yielded better results. Reds quarterback Everett Kelling found Braxton DeMille in the back corner of the endzone and added a one-point conversion to make it 19-7.
Despite finding their stride offensively, Cedar couldn't slow Vegas Blue's dominant passing attack, as Rose placed another deep touchdown in the hands of Louden Cahill. Standing by his aggressive strategy, Vegas Blue Head Coach Nathaniel Rose called his third successful two-point attempt of the day.
The Reds struck back quickly as Dylan Crowley weaved his way through Vegas defenders to creep back within range. After adding another one-point conversion to the board, Cedar trailed only 27-14.
Rose retook the field unphased, dropping a long dime to Chris McKenzie for his fourth passing touchdown of the game. Now trailing by 19, Cedar's DeMille kept his team's hopes alive by taking a checkdown to the house in an outstanding show of speed. The score cut the deficit to 33-20.
In their final opportunity to take control of the game, Cedar High's defense held strong for a huge stop to return the ball to their offense. Yet, Vegas rose to the occasion, bunkering down for another interception.
Vegas Blue steamrolled their way through the rest of the game, pouring 20 additional points into the lead on two touchdowns and a Spielberg pick, making them the first varsity gold medal champions in the tournament's history.
