Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games and BZI Enter into a Multi-Year Partnership Agreement to Support Regional Athletes and Special Olympics

CEDAR CITY, Utah (March 18, 2025) – The Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games, an outreach department of Southern Utah University, announced today it has entered into a multi-year sponsorship and marketing partnership with BZI®, an Iron County-based company recognized as a national leader in the construction steel industries.
 
Through the partnership, BZI will support the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games while also becoming the title partner of an SUU event associated with the Special Olympics Utah Summer Games at Southern Utah University.  BZI and its team members will provide volunteer support for both Games.
 
"It is an honor to be working with BZI as a partner to improve the experiences for our competitors of the Games," said Jon Oglesby, Executive Director of the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games. "We are incredibly grateful for BZI's support, as well as the celebration it brings for our friends with Special Olympics Utah during their time on campus. We are grateful to have BZI join our efforts to make Utah a better place to live, to work, and to play."
 
The BZI-sponsored event, during the Special Olympics Utah Summer Games at SUU, will showcase the best of the Cedar City community and Southern Utah University, including a special performance by the Utah Shakespeare Festival and other cultural experiences unique to Iron County. The BZI event is expected to welcome over 500 athletes with intellectual disabilities from around the state who will be participating in the Special Olympics Utah Summer Games taking place on the SUU campus from May 29-31, 2025.

Once connected, the organization strives to present a first-of-class experience that fosters lifelong connection between participants and Southern Utah University, Cedar City, and the state of Utah. 
 
Registration is now open for the 2025 Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games at utahsummergames.org. The Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games Opening Ceremony, presented by State Bank of Southern Utah, is scheduled for Friday, June 6.

The Utah Summer Games, a registered 501c3, is a sporting festival in Cedar City, Utah, functioning as the official 'State Games' for the state of Utah.
