MANDATORY CHECK IN: A coach or team representative from every team must check-in at the Registration/Check-in area prior to the first game. You must hand in a completed roster with all waivers signed by each team member if over 18, or by parents or guardians if team member is under 18, including those who may not be present the first day. Any team that has not checked in at the Registration/Check-in area will forfeit ALL games until this task has been completed.

*All active college players must play in the open division. No more than 2 college players from the same college team.
Rules & Restrictions: The Utah Summer Games shall be governed by the 2009-2010 NFHS Volleyball Rules Book. Team uniform tops must match in color (exception: libero's must be contrasting to team color). Numbers are required, six inch in back and four inch in front. Numbers must contrast to uniform top color and be centered. No requirement for uniform bottoms. Note: Officials need to be able to identify players. Numbers placed by felt markers on tee shirts are acceptable. Teams shall provide second referee (down), scorekeeper, libero tracker, scorer and line judges, when assigned as the officiating work team within their pool play. Tournament format within pool play will be determined based upon the number of teams and courts available.
Eligibility: The Utah Summer Games and State Games of the West is open to all State Games athletes from the following States: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Athletes from these states are eligible by participating in their local State Games in 2008 regardless of their results or placement in one of the sports, or if a resident of the State of Utah or a resident of a neighboring state (Idaho, Nevada, or Wyoming) that does not currently hold an officially recognized State Games event, for at least 30 days prior to the first day of the competition they wish to enter. In addition, students who are enrolled in a Utah college or university are eligible, as are U.S. military personnel and their family members who are stationed in Utah. The State Games of the West have been organized in accordance with NCAA guidelines with some exceptions. Athletes who have eligibility questions should check with their school athletic administrator or coach. Any athlete with scholastic or collegiate eligibility remaining must comply with rules governing his or her scholastic or collegiate eligibility.
Confirmation: Internet Registrations will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail. Mailed or delivered registrations can check at registration area before event.
Check-In: Athletes need to check in at the SUU Sorenson PE Building, 560 W University Blvd., Cedar City. Each athlete will receive a welcome packet containing the official Utah Summer Games Athlete shirt, valuable coupons and other assorted goodies. Registration will be open on the following days:

Refund Policy: NO REFUNDS will be given including for medical withdrawals. If an event cannot be held due to inclement weather a voucher code may be issued to be used for another sport during the 2010 event or the same sport during the 2011 Utah Summer Games. Exceptions will be made only for the following: entries received after entry deadline; sports or competitions reaching maximum registration capacity; entries received after the maximum number of teams are bracketed or if there are not enough teams or individuals to form a division.
