How to Register: Register online. If you are mailing in your registration form, send it to Utah Summer Games Registration, 351 West University Blvd., Cedar City, UT 84720.

Registration Deadline: Final registration due Saturday, June 19, 2010. Day of race registration by prior permission of coordinator only and closes one hour before start of race, with a $10.00 penalty. Use Individual Registration Form.

Age Requirement: Determined by age as of December 31, 2010.

Rules: United States Cycling Federation. Riders must wear ASTM/Snell approved helmet. Omnium bonus points will be awarded to overall winners in combined races as follows: 1st =7, 2nd =5, & 3rd =3.

Time Trial: All divisions 10 miles at 30 second intervals.

Hill Climb:
4 Miles: all Men's divisions 19-49 and Women's 19-29.
1.3 Miles: for all other men's and women's divisions

Omnium:
Overall championships based on points awarded as follows: Must race in at least 2 races to be eligible. 14, 10, 6, 4, 2; for first through fifth places. There will also be bonus points awarded for primes in the road race and criterium 3, 2, and 1 for first, second and third.

The overall champion will be the rider in each division with the most points. Athletes are automatically entered in Omnium when entered in two or more races.

Criterium: Closed circuit .75 mile course
25 minutes + 2 laps: Boys 13-14, Men 60-over.
40 minutes + 2 laps: Men 40-49, Men 50-59, Women Open
50 minutes + 2 laps: All Open Men, Men 30-39
Races will be approximately one hour apart.
Race times will be posted the day prior to race.

Road Race:
20 miles: Jr Women and Women 40+, Jr Boys 12-14 and Master's Men 60+
40 miles: Jr boys 15-19, Men 40-59, Women 19-29 & 30-39
60 miles: All Open Men 19-29 and 30-39

Eligibility: The Utah Summer Games and State Games of the West is open to all State Games athletes from the following States: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Athletes from these states are eligible by participating in their local State Games in 2008 regardless of their results or placement in one of the sports, or if a resident of the State of Utah or a resident of a neighboring state (Idaho, Nevada, or Wyoming) that does not currently hold an officially recognized State Games event, for at least 30 days prior to the first day of the competition they wish to enter. In addition, students who are enrolled in a Utah college or university are eligible, as are U.S. military personnel and their family members who are stationed in Utah. The State Games of the West have been organized in accordance with NCAA guidelines with some exceptions. Athletes who have eligibility questions should check with their school athletic administrator or coach. Any athlete with scholastic or collegiate eligibility remaining must comply with rules governing his or her scholastic or collegiate eligibility.

Confirmation: Internet Registrations will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail. Mailed or delivered registrations can check at registration area before event.

Check-In: Athletes need to check in at the SUU Sorenson PE Building, 560 W University Blvd., Cedar City. Each athlete will receive a welcome packet containing the official Utah Summer Games Athlete shirt, valuable coupons and other assorted goodies. Registration will be open on the following days:

All teams must have waivers signed by each team members if they are 18 or older, and by parents/guardians if they are under 18. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Refund Policy: NO REFUNDS will be given including for medical withdrawals. If an event cannot be held due to inclement weather a voucher code may be issued to be used for another sport during the 2010 event or the same sport during the 2011 Utah Summer Games. Exceptions will be made only for the following: entries received after entry deadline; sports or competitions reaching maximum registration capacity; entries received after the maximum number of teams are bracketed or if there are not enough teams or individuals to form a division. Requests must be in writing by email to hutcheson@suu.edu.
