Major General Brian Tarbet
Major General Brian L. Tarbet has served as the Adjutant General of the State of Utah for the past ten years. In this capacity, he directs all programs and policies affecting the Utah Army and Air National Guard. And with nearly 6500 citizen soldiers and airmen under his administration, Tarbet has established himself as a proven leader worthy of the respect so many hold for him. By his colleagues, Tarbet has been characterized as “the essence of dedication and patriotism,” and Tarbet’s 37-year military career proves nothing less. For putting country and state before self, for teaching thousands more to do the same, we honor and thank Major General Brian Tarbet with the 2010 Utah Summer Games Special Service Award.
